Fair Waarning Logo

After three weeks of hard work and experimentation, the new FairWarning logo has been sent to the client.

The design was born out of the notions of adventure and deep sea fishing. Although the design went through several experiments, the end result was concluded as this.

Many aspects of the design underwent numerous tests and changes, and the search for a font led for a hand re-crafting of the Albertus font. Overall a successful project.

Cannabis Chronicles

The latest of icon designs done by creative Rob Snow present a challenge of a different kind. Two logos were required by an American company to represent a website dedicated to the education of cannabis, in medical terms. And the second icon used to be a logo incorporated in the book that will accompany the website.

The challenge was that a stereotypical image of cannabis was needed to be avoided. This is a difficult challenge as there is not much else to cannabis unless the drug aspect is used. So, the solution was not totally avoiding the shape, it was just showing in a different way. This was achieved to simplification and colour. As the book icon was called chronicles, after some searching an shape of a pen nib was seen in the upper leaf element.
